I wanted to record the wise words of our country director Jeffrey Cornish (from interview with him):
"The most important thing is to never become judgmental and try not to judge the culture as if it were your own. <...> The key to cross-cultural understanding is to remain non-judgmental and find the values that are responsible for behaviors. It is impossible to survive, let alone enjoy and grow from an experience overseas, if you are judging everything."
